Fun In Frontierland

There are so many hidden activities in Disneyland Paris. One of which is in Frontierland - the great Rustler Roundup Shootin' Gallery!
For 2€ you get 10 shots at different targets, most of which are audio-animatronic. Great fun for the whole family!

A Quick Bite At Bella Notte

Another restaurant in Fantasyland, Disneyland Paris, is the charming Pizzeria Bella Notte, near It's A Small World attraction.

As you can determine from the name, this quick service restaurant is mainly a Pizzeria. The theming is almost like something out of Lady and the Tramp. And when you look at the restaurant from the outside, it looks like it could almost be leaning (like the Tower Pisa?).The fayre here is mainly pizzas and pasta, with ham and garlic being in abundance. The menu is very much themed around Italy, with vegetarian dishes and kid-friendly meal choices. There is also a choice of salads, as well as the usual side and drink options.

The restaurant is closed Thursdays and Fridays in the low-season, and usually opens at 11am, until 7pm or 6pm. As Bella Notte is slightly hidden in Fantasyland, it is a great place to grab a bit during the busier lunch periods.

More Art of the Toad

Continuing our previous days' tours of the Toad Hall restaurant in Disneyland Paris, we still have some pieces of art to look at. If you pay particular attention, you might notice that there is one common denominator throughout them all. A certain Toad, perhaps?

Art of the Toad

Yesterday we enjoyed our time in Toad Hall - so let's go back there again! The restaurant has so many details that it's hard to take them all in at once.

So, for today and tomorrow, we will have a look at just some of the many pieces of artwork that adorn the walls of this Disneyland Paris restaurant. Enjoy - and please, no flash photography, it could ruin the priceless pieces of art.

Looking Around The Hall

We have had a quick bite at Toad Hall, and we have even had a bit of a bigger bite! But now let's take the time to appreciate the aesthetics of this beautiful Disneyland Paris restaurant.

The Imagineers for the Paris park took their time to make sure that almost everything had a story, or details that would invoke the feeling of story. For example, the outside of Toad Hall has detailing in the brickwork, and wood carvings that remind you that Toad Hall was built for one special person inparticular!

Even the surroundings of the fireplace invoke the feeling that this is what the real Toad Hall would feel like.

The carpet and the wallpaper have even been created especially for Mr Toad and his home.

We will spend some more time on the artwork that is on show in this restaurant tomorrow, but for now we can see that even Van Gogh created some beautiful pieces for Toad Hall!

And for this replica of Toad Hall, we can see just some of the furnishings that Toad uses to help himself feel at home.

Hup, Two, Three, Four Again!

I love the restaurant Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost in Adventureland, Disneyland Paris. And if you are a regular reader of this blog, you will know that from my previous posts!

And if you are wandering through Adventureland, probably heading from Indiana Jones' attraction, you may just come across this sign.

Getting In On The Act

We've finished our tour of the Gardens of the Spring Carnival, but as I mentioned before, Tokyo DisneySea make sure that you are never far from a reminder of the celebration that is currently happening!

The second park of Tokyo Disney Resort, is the only Disney park to have a hotel actually inside the park's grounds. The Hotel MiraCosta is a beautiful resort, which, upon entering the DisneySea Plaza, guests have to pass under to enter the main heart of the park.

And even the hotel gets 'in on the act' and celebrates Spring Carnival 2010!

Arabian Gardens

For the duration of the Spring Carnival celebrations in Tokyo DisneySea, the land of Arabian Coast is transformed into the breathtaking Jasmine's Garden.

Here we can take the time to appreciate Jasmine's love of nature - with a little help from her friends!

When You Wish Upon a Flower

Continuing through the gardens of the Tokyo DisneySea Spring Carnival, there is the beautiful - almost hidden - garden for Pinocchio. This is situated between American Waterfront, Mediterranean Harbour and -closest to - Mysterious Island. Looking over the the water area, the topiaries and flower displays are beautiful!

Let us have a look and enjoy the characters of Pinocchio.

Fairies Sprinkle Flowers

During Spring Carnival at Tokyo DisneySea, it feels like you can't go anywhere without bumping into something beautiful and Spring-like. There are flowers at every turn, with almost every Land getting in on the act.

When you head through Mediterranean Harbour, heading towards Mysterious Island, there is another garden that you pass through. Tinkerbell and her fairy friends (Iridessa, Rosetta, Silvermist, Fawn and Terence) have sprinkled their pixie dust all over the area, allowing us to feel like we are really in the midst of the Carnival!

It's Fantasia-tasic

The first stop on our tour of the Tokyo DisneySea Spring Carnival 2010, is over near the Tower of Terror in American Waterfront. Here we can see flower displays and topiaries relating to one of Walt Disney's Masterpieces: Fantasia.

There is a beautiful use of colour here, and some fantastic photo opportunities! Let's take a look around.

The Maps of Spring

Taking a quick break from the Flower Gardens of the Spring Carnival, let's have a look at some of the times guides that are available during the festival.

Another reason that Tokyo in many ways surpasses the other Disney parks throughout the world, is the way that they theme almost everything to whatever festival or celebration the Resort is currently having. During the Spring Carnival, their times guides have been themed to match the dress of our favourite mice: Mickey and Minnie!

You can also find a couple of Mickey and Minnie Mouse topiaries near the Park entrance, also showing their beautiful costumes. We will see more of Mickey and Minnie, and many other Disney characters, when we have a look at the special Spring Carnival parade and show later this month here at DF'82.

Let's Celebrate The Spring Carnival

There are many reasons why the Tokyo Disney Resort is so amazing. It includes the parks, the hotels, the imagineering and the experience. But one thing that the Resort excels in, is the celebrations. They really go 'full out', making sure their guests experience everything to the full extreme.
From April through June, there are two celebrations happening in the Resort. At Tokyo Disneyland, there is the beautiful Easter Wonderland (which we will definitely look at detail over the summer, here in DF'82) and in Tokyo DisneySea, there is Spring Carnival.
Spring Carnival is a sort-of Flower and Garden festival throughout the park, focusing on Tinkerbell and her fellow fairies bringing Spring to DisneySea. Mickey and Minnie also join in on the fun, bringing parades and shows to the Park, as well as beautiful garden and flower displays through some of the different lands.
This leaflet shows some of the different areas you can experience. For example, there is Jasmin's Garden, Fantasia Gardens and Tinkerbell's Gardens too. Over the next few days, DF'82 is going to take you on a non-stop tour of these gardens, to make sure you don't miss out on any of the carnival! With a little help from Tink, Rosetta, Fawn, Silvermist, Terence and Iridessa, I'm sure we can have some more Spring fun, even though we are in Summer.
